My family has been living Gluten Free since February 15. It hasn't been easy. But I have learned so much. No matter what the outcome....I will NEVER eat the same again. I have a new awareness of ingredients that is both enlightening and scary.
One thing that has been increasingly difficult has been what to eat for snacks on the road. Kids get hungry. Nuff said.
But here are three things I reach for again and again.
Nuts and dried fruit are allowed and this pre-packaged bag from Costco makes it very easy for on the road snacks...and it's marked gluten free!
I am a HUGE fan of this very gluten free snack...also from Costco. They are so stinkin yummers! Trio bars....they are made by a company called Mrs. Mays and her website lists other stores where you can buy them as well. So worth it!
And last, but not least....we bring fruit everywhere. It's pre-packaged {giggled} and so good!
But when I'm not being over the top healthy....I did make some pretty amazing Gluten Free donuts. I'll post that recipe later!
Until then....
