I thought it was time to bring back Thankful Thursday an exercise in being grateful! I had gotten away from it. Mostly because I was discouraged that no one would share what THEY were thankful for.
But then I remembered...
This isn't for you, this exercise is for me. I need to verbally express what I am thankful for. It's good for me. So if you play along or not I still benefit!

So on this Thankful Thursday a day for expressing gratitude I am thankful for....
...FRIENDSHIPS...
In real life friends, and my online friends. When I sell something, I don't think of that individual as a "sale", I think of them as a friend. They are sharing a little piece of "me" so therefore they qualify. In fact, some of my closest friends have developed online. Crazy? I think not.
I wrote a post a long time ago about "sisterhood" and friendship. As a woman we value friends in our lives so very much. We crave them. We need them. Sure, those friendships often take unexpected twists and turns, and as people, we will definitely disappoint our friends.
I do it all the time.
But friendship relationships are worth working at. They are worth fixing when they go astray. Life is too short.
So to all my friends out there. Thank you. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for putting up with my wackiness. Thank you for being YOU!
YOU.
ARE.
LOVED!

So what is ONE thing you are grateful for TODAY? ONE THING from the past week. ONE THING. It doesn't have to be something huge. It doesn't have to be something with a huge WOW factor. But something YOU are grateful for.
So give it to me! { please }

I am thankful that I was a good judge of character as a kid! My best friends are lifelong, with me through thick and thin. As an adult I have let people into my life that had no business being there...I just wish I had the same penchant for choosing friends as I did when I was 10 years old today.
ReplyDeleteHi! Thank you for using my artwork! What an honor!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for my sister, glue sticks, scotch tape, toilet paper and toilets, clean bed sheets and hugs.
Mine is kind of sad. I am thankful that my friend Mark didn't have suffer long. He's been battling cancer for over 2 years, but only these last 2 weeks has he been in pain. He was finally able to grasp eternal rest today. As much as we'll miss him, I praise God from whom all blessings flow. Please pray for his wife and teenage boys. I know they are broken-hearted beyond imagination tonight.
ReplyDeleteawesome doug!
ReplyDeletejenny, love your artwork!
bridget...praying for your friends family.
i am thankful for my ability to write. It helps me to process and it helps me to help others express themselves too. :)
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for my online friends who I can visit and have fun with even when I feel blah and I'm in my frumpy, only-at-home clothes.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for friends as well this week. I have some keepers and it's such a huge blessing. We had a women's ministry event at our church tonight and getting to spend the whole evening with these great women was awesome! :)
ReplyDeletelove it staci! you write girl!
ReplyDeletedonetta, beautifully said!
It's a long story, but I'm thankful I was able to go take care of some highly important last minute business and still get home in time to meet the school bus! I was worried that my 7 year old would have to wait outside my house wondering where I was. But others were helpful and understanding that I didn't have time to wait which allowed me to get home on time.
ReplyDeleteRight now, I am SO thankful that we made it through Hurricane Irene without any damage, or even losing power. Although there were times this past week I was tempted to take the littles and flee north to my parents', we stayed and were safe, and I'm thankful for that.
ReplyDeleteAnd that we were able to get our fall/winter shopping in yesterday before the storm hit ;-)
