Tips from the road - traveling with kids

- a cooler in the back of the van is critical
- frozen water bottles make for good cooling of items in said cooler :)
- a rubbermaid box filled with healthy snacks saves money
- portable dvd players are a gift from above
- candy is an excellent bribery tool
- make sure aspirin and ibuprofen are easily accessible, you'll thank me
- a phone that can be used as a wireless "hot" spot makes me swoon
- there are Starbucks if you look for them
- have them pack an overnight bag for the hotel...make sure you specify what goes in an overnight bag...like a toothbrush
- Headphones. Headphones. Headphones.
