Fall Inspiration and a StudioJewel winner

Just when I was starting to panic...again. Just when I was getting swarmed within by the sea of overwhelm. Just when I was beginning to think, I can't do this. Fall arrived.

Maybe it did begin with a fury, maybe it was chilly and rainy a week ago.

But this week? When I needed it most. Fall smiled on me. Nudged me a bit. And reminded me that we used to be friends. 

Fall spoke to me in its raspy crunchy voice, and unveiled her beauty to me as I drove yet one more errand. It caught my breath. And I smiled.

With that smile much of the tension slipped away. With that smile came an inner sigh. A welcome sigh. A cleansing sigh.

I know to you this may seem odd, crazy maybe. But the last few weeks have been a whirling mass of busyness. A flurry of activity almost to the point of chaos. 

But not this week.

I have opened my arms wide to the outlandish colors of fall, when all of nature seems to call to me. This is my season. These are my colors. This is what energizes me to a frenzy of creativity. This is what gives me the power to face that six letter word....winter.

Even that word can't shake my smile today.

I'm all pumpkins and leaves and gourds and candy corn.

Harvest. Healing. This is a gift for me, and I share it with you, from my perspective of course.
