Space. Line. Details. Architecture. Design.
I think a great deal about the expanses around me. I analyze lines. I pick apart colors.
When I am in a particular area I will notice how the light falls through a window. How a piece of art fits, or doesn't fit, on a wall. How corners meet.
I look for balance. Part of me...wants to control it. Make it better.
In high school I thought I wanted to be an interior designer. My father owned a construction company, I grew up watching amazing buildings arise from the dirt. I studied craftsman creating intricate mosaics in Greek Orthodox Churches.
It was form meeting function. I loved it.
And although I didn't follow that path, it still excites me to see good home design...and amazing spaces.
Imagine a place where you live that embraces all you want to be. It makes me giddy.
I have found some amazing ideas on Pinterest. Spaces that make me dream...not covet...just dream...a little. That's okay right?
How about this simple kitchen. Livable. Functional. I love the contrast of the black counter tops to the white...everything! Fantastic!
This is brilliant. A dog bath in the laundry room. We could so use this!
I think I have a thing for "white space". I love the open area. I love the clean lines...the white...and then the contrast of the dark wood. Its crisp, yet incredibly warm.
A back entry that would work for my family...and that I would love to see. Now wouldn't that be a new concept!
A sleeping space I could only DREAM about as a child. I so wanted a "cozy nook". I even tried to build one on my closet. Not so cozy. Not very nook-like. A girl can try right?
What's your dream space? Kitchen? Front porch? Bedroom? Bath?
Show me your favs!
