Be honest. Who doesn't like to get snail mail? And when that snail mail involves a package? Oh my...I might just get a bit giddy. Birchbox has made me feel a little like it's my birthday every single month.
Let's back up. What is this Birchbox I speak of? Well truly, it's my new favorite way to discover exciting new grooming, beauty and lifestyle products. Each month a sweet little brown box, wrapped in tissue paper and ribbon (told you it was like my birthday) arrives in my mailbox.
Each box is filled with four or five samples of high end beauty products. Products you normally don't want to "just try" when the cost factor is high. Products I may NEVER have tried on my own! Bonus? Sample sized products are perfect for traveling!
Birchbox doesn't just give you the samples and pat you on the head. They actually explain HOW to use them. Often their blog will have videos on how to apply a certain product, and tell about how to use it. I adore that!
How does it work? It's a subscription. You can choose 12 months for $110 - super amazing deal - that's what I chose! Or six months for $60. Or three months for $30. Considering what you "get" it is totally worth it!
Since I began my subscription in May I already have SEVERAL favorite new items. Remember last week we talked about Stainiac? That was in my June box...seriously in love with that product!
Let me just walk you through my July box, so you get an idea of the awesomeness. July was all about SUMMER and Glamour. And since your Birchbox is crafted for you - after you fill out your profile - it's like they are my personal stylists. They know my skin, my hair...I mean crazy...who else would tell them to send me anti-aging products? *ahem* You get the idea.

First up Alterna BAMBOO UV plus color protection fade proof fluide. Did someone tell them I haz purple hair? This stuff is awesome. A couple pumps, run it through my towel dried hair and it leaves it silky and soft...not greasy. Smells good too. Is my color lasting? Too hard to tell. But it's worth the shot!
This is supposed to be a miracle something or other - Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm. It's supposed to be your all-in-one - moisturizer, sunscreen and treatment serum with a tinted balm. I loved the texture...not the color, made me look pasty. Ew.
Stila Tiki Lip Glaze. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Great color. Great texture. Lasts. Nuff said.
How cute are these earbuds? Tahlia, my smallest person has been begging for them since they arrived. She's a sucker for anything with even the tiniest hint of pink. Such a girly girl. They are cute, a nice bonus, they made us smile.
Then there was this Uber bar. I had to borrow the photo from Birchbox since I ate it. And it was delicious along with being super healthy. Maybe next month I'll get chocolate!
Lastly was a Skin Care Nourishing Regimen by Suki. It came in small packets, designed to try once, maybe twice. I liked it. It smelled good. It felt good. But it is hard to make a decision based on a couple days use. But it did allow me to change up my routine and that is also a necessity.
