Favorite Thing - She's a Stainiac and she's dancing like she's never danced before

Sorry, couldn't resist. I do believe I have a song for everything. True Story.

When I found a tube of Stainiac in my Birchbox (more on that later) last month. I was a bit skeptical. That's putting it mildly. I mean, you want me to paint this uber bright red stuff on my cheeks and not expect me to revisit the 80's? {{shiver}} I have nightmares about stuff like that.

And I'm not big on major makeup, or lip stain. But here it was, so I had to try it right? And it is a two in one sort of thing. Cheeks to Lips. I'm game. If you know me at all, you will know I read everything first. Everything. Packaging. Instructions. Ingredients. I just like to "know".

What I learned was this tinted gel would look darker in the tube then on my face. It's water based, so it wouldn't set the color in my skin immediately, and it should blend well and give a sheer tint. My sample color is "beauty queen" {snort} which is magenta-toned pink, but there are two other colors. Prom Queen {double snort} in a rose pink, and Homecoming Queen in a peachy tint. Ok, I got the deets.

I pulled out the handy dandy applicator wand and dabbed two to three dots of color on the apples of my cheeks. I panicked for a second...hello bright!....then I blended the color into my cheeks using a circular motion (as directed).

Hey, what do you know? It worked! 
A nice dewy, rosy look that blended so nicely into my skin!

Lips next. Apply like lip gloss. Not bad. If I was a lip color person - sorry mom, I'm not - I would like this. But it's more color than I need day to day.

However, bottom line. I'm sold.

I love the subtle color on my cheeks. I love how easy it is to put on. But most of all...I ADORE how long the color lasts.

And since I only received a sample size in my box, I have to go purchase a "real" size tube. I think I'll stick with being a Beauty Queen since I really liked THAT color (and name). I found it at Amazon, of course, for $17. And since the teeny tiny sample lasted forever, I believe this full size will do the job for quite sometime!
