Favorite Thing - Artistry Light Up Lip Gloss

Remember glow sticks. How you would covet them? Or even the simple pleasure of playing with a flashlight. We are intrigued with light. Admit it.

When I saw my sweet friend whip this lip gloss out while we were driving one day, I think I may have gasped. It was THAT cool! She must have sensed my awe, because she gifted me my very own. Yup, she's cool like that. She is also known to bring me dark chocolate, coffee and Swedish fish. You're jealous...I know. You should be! But I digress....

The lip gloss. It's called Artistry, and it truly is that! Created by Amway (don't worry, I'm not trying to sell you anything!)

What drew me in was the LED lights located in the gloss application wand. Then they cleverly added a reflective mirror like surface on one side of the lip gloss so you can actually see what you're doing. Ingenious!

But what sold me is the shiny sheer lip gloss. I am NOT a lip stick person. Never have been. It's sticky. I can never find the right color. It gets on stuff. Ick. But this? This I love.

Why do I love it so?

• It goes on smooth, not sticky. 
• The color she chose for me is Champagne and I adore it, but I'm super excited to try some of the others they offer.
• It has a cool, minty sensation on my lips. It's not a "plumper" ....funny word..... but it feels all tingly!
• Seems to last forever. They say 200 applications. I haven't been counting. Maybe I should next time, you know, put a notch in my lip stick case so to speak? :)
• And the light? Well they say that lasts over 6 years. Now I'm not sure why you would want it to last that long if you've run out of lip gloss. Just sharing the facts here.
• Only bummer, no SPF. So I just layer on my chapstick first - problem solved!
• Unfortunately, if you are outside the US they can't ship this to you. Something weird about non removable lithium batteries. But come over for a visit and I'll get you all set up!

I was going to take a picture for you this morning...but it's early...and I won't subject you. However, when I posted this image on instagram a couple weeks ago someone asked me about my lip stick...so here you go. Subtle. Shiny. Perfect. Not me, the lip gloss silly!
