I mean, self adjusting blush? Are you kidding me? This is something I would have imagined in the "Jetson" years. You know, put your face in some sort of gadget and your makeup is complete! Perfectly suited to you!
So, I totally lost any of you under the age of 35. You're looking at the screen, thinking "WHAT is she talking about?". Stick with me.
I had a credit to spend at Birchbox - my most favorite site in the world. I needed a blush. I read the reviews on the Stila product and decided to take the plunge and give it a shot.
Let's just say I was not disappointed. More than that, I was blown away.
Blush has always been tricky to me. I have horrid memories of clown like cheeks in middle school. I'm always afraid of wearing something too bright, too dark, too pink, too orange. And not applying it right. In the past I've opted for bronzers, but I needed something brighter to beat the winter blah's.
Stila is a custom color blush. The very velvety soft pigment is supposed to adjust to every individuals skin tone and pH balance to create the perfect shade of color. It truly blends in amazingly. It leaves a soft natural glow, not cake-y or clown-y. And really, the color was perfect! I even felt like it made my skin look....BETTER! And my skin is aging, let's just call a spade a spade here!
But any who. See the subtle, sweet color on the left vs. no color on the right? I do really like it!
The instructions said to dab my blush brush in the color, then tap off the excess color. I'll admit, I was scared of the intense pink...it's so bright! {{ Note, a little goes a long way! }}

- B. Yikes...that really is a close up.
- C. Wow....my eyes don't match!
- D. Geesh...my brows need to be done!
- E. I need chapstick!

But being the ever skeptic, I tried it on my teenage girls to see how the color worked on them. And dang...it actually looked different, and again...perfect for their skin tone!
Imagine that, a product that actually does what it says it will do...and more! The color even lasted all day. THAT is amazing.

Here's the skinny on the product. There are no sulfates, no phthalates, no GMOs. {they must be bad things if they mentioned them}. It's treated with silicone, which allows the product to fill in fine lines without that heavy look. And it comes in two shades, sheer pink and sheer coral. I went with the pink.
You can purchase directly from Birchbox for $20. Pricey. But I do believe it will last me a good long time!

Own it girlfriend...your eyes totally match. Plus they have this cool teal outer ring on the iris. I want brown eyes with teal rings. Mine are what someone once referred to as goose sh!t green. Not that attractive or unusual.
