Happy Birthday Dad

Today it's your birthday...

and not just any birthday.

It's your 80th birthday. 

How can that be possible?

To me, you are still that very strong man, that held my hand wherever we went, that towered over everyone, and that could fight off dragons if necessary.

I DO hope today is a fantastic day. I'm sorry we aren't there to celebrate with you. I'd actually love to be in Florida right now, so I think you should have flown us all down for a party :) Next year ok?

Since we are NOT there I want to tell you how grateful I am to call you dad, and to call have my kids call you "Pop-Pop". 

Thank you for loving me in spite of my challenging spirit.

Thank you for allowing me to make many mistakes.

Thank you for standing beside me after my mistakes and encouraging me to carry on.

Thank you for showing me what it means to love my Savior with my whole heart.

Thank you for being an amazing grandfather that my children adore.

This doesn't even begin to convey all of which I am grateful for...

In my heart I will always be your little girl, and you will always be my daddy.

I love you.
