The music. The atmosphere. The yes ma'am(s). The friends. The conference.
Does such a fantasy exist? And if so where? Well for me, and hundreds of others, this little piece of heaven took place in Nashville, Tennessee...at a conference called Blissdom.
After hours of travel we just returned last night from our journey south from my fourth Blissdom conference. Glad to be home, excited to get back in the swing, sad to leave one of my favorite places behind.
Maybe you caught that little word above. Maybe you are wondering why I love this conference so. Maybe you just keep reading because your nice :)
This year Blissdom was extra special for me, because I brought my daughter Anneke. And not only did I bring her, she was put to work. And quite frankly, she did an amazing job.
But what I really loved, is sharing one of my favorite conferences with her. She got to meet MY people. She got to see that these amazing women exist beyond my computer screen. They are beautiful, powerful, intelligent, rock star women that I call friends, and now she knows them too.
She got to see me at my dorkiest. And she certainly got an ear full of "women speak"...oh come on, you know what I'm talking about! Best part, she flourished in it. She was articulate and confident and she rocked it...hard! She even got on stage and sang karaoke! I would NEVER do that!

And this year, Blissdom added a marketplace. Therefore, I got to spread out my goodies and sell! {{ FYI, selling is NOT one of my gifts. It makes me nervous! True story! }} But I so enjoyed interacting with all the wonderful people who took the time to stop and play with my pretties!

The energy behind Blissdom is unsurpassed. To be in the presence of so many women that are literally changing the world is inspiring. The speakers were captivating. The entertainment...well, maybe I will just show you!
there was that one night Anneke and I hung out with Joe Jonas |
If you are a blogger, a tweeter, and implementer of anything online, this conference is for you. The connections you will make are priceless, not just business connections...yes, that will happen too...but true heart connections to others like you. There is nothing like it in the world.
So needless to say, Blissdom gets to make my favorite things list...especially this year! And if you're smart, next year? You will get your "bliss" on too!
xoxo

I would imagine Joe Jonas has met his share of beautiful women. What I can't imagine is that any of them are as beautiful as the two women he was photographed with in your blog photos.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I should meet you there next year. And if you come down here we all say yes ma'am too. My son was blown away when we first arrived back home.
ReplyDeletesounds perfect Cindy! and you are WAY too sweet :) xo
ReplyDeleteYour daughter, Anneke, is straight up a rockstar. She is brilliant, funny, smart and beautiful - she reminds me a lot of someone. Oh, that's right - YOU.
ReplyDeleteI loved watching the two of you interact and you're right, she absolutely flourished at Blissdom.
I love hugging you - seeing your smile - watching your muss up your hair and laugh while Anneke rolls her eyes. I love all the spirit that rocks out of you.
