My favorite things...

Just how many times have you heard that quote? 

But then there is this one...

Let's face it, society almost requires women to wear make up, and I will admit that I never leave home without it. But in all the busyness of morning, there has to be an easier way to get it accomplished, right?

I just may have some thoughts, but you knew that right? This leads me to one of my favorite things ... something that makes my makeup routine a little smoother and my eyes a bit more fabulous.

I have a single line of make up I use almost exclusively, however, I do "stray" for two amazing products. Numero Uno....Urban Decay eye shadow primer. It is crazy awesome. I had no idea how much of a difference this little ole product would make in my life. (STOP laughing at me!!) But really, you have no idea!

This POTION, as it is called, comes in a few different shades. Formerly, I used the "shimmer", but then I realized I wasn't as young as I used to be...and shimmer just ain't a good look no more. So I switched to nude. Sounds a bit naughty doesn't it?

Why a primer? 

It allows your eyeshadow go on very smoothly. If you don't want to wear any shadow, this is perfect...it adds just the right amount of coverage. If you do wear eye shadow it allows the color to go on smooth with no creases. Colors blend better and look brighter. AND?? It keeps your shadow lasting longer without getting all crease-y and weird. See?

For my teenage and tweenage girls I let them use this when they THINK they need makeup. It's just enough without them looking, well, you know...too old and too "Kardashian"!

How to use it? Just put a very tiny bit on your ring finger and pat it smooth all over your eye lid. That's it! Why your ring finger? It's not as strong as your other fingers and it tends to have the softest pad. True story.

It's a bit pricey at $20 a tube, but it lasts a really long time and it WILL change the way you "do" your eyes.

And seriously, if your eyes really are the window to the soul, they should look fabulous. Don't you agree?
