Fashion Tip Tuesday Summer Sale Shopping

Sticky. Sweaty. Smelly. That kind of describes my home for the last week...or so. If you hadn't noticed, summer is in full swing and it is H.O.T. out there! Now, truly, I don't mind the heat. I even tried to run in it. (let's just chalk that up to a major fail) 

Anyway.......sundresses and tank tops and shorts and flirty sandals are the norm. Still not happy with your summer wardrobe? Then you are in luck! Most stores are ready to flip over to back to school fall wear - yes, seriously! But, what makes that fact all kinds of awesome? It's summer sale time people! WOOT! And you still have plenty of summer left to enjoy your new found fashionable purchases.

I thought I'd make this easy for you and point to you to some amazing sales at a few of my fav stores! Ready to shop? Ok, let's go!

Ann Taylor Loft - 50% off summer styles use the code NOW50. My pick? This super cute ruffle shirt - perfect over shorts, jeans, or a long boho type skirt!

Anthropologie is offering an additional 25% off the already marked down sale items! That's HUGE! I'm in love with this maxi dress! Hmmm...my first two picks are in white - better choose color next!

I stopped in Aeropostale with my girls yesterday - one of their favs - and they had tons of cute summer items on sale! Isabel picked up this sweet tribal pattern maxi skirt, and I got a belt both for 50% off! And since I spent over $40 I was able to pick out a cami for $5! In order to not cause a sibling battle, I chose to keep the cami for me! Cause I'm smart like that!

Another great place to pick up essentials - tank tops, t-shirts, jeans and SHORTS is Old Navy. They are having their "summer refresh sale". Basically that means all summer stuff is ON SALE! I have an issue with stripes. I just don't love them. So I have decided that in order to rid myself of said fear, I need to wear them. And this dress I could do, I think, maybe. What do you think?

Obviously I'm just scratching the surface here. But if you have even thought that you should do a little summer wardrobe shopping, now IS your time! Here are your tips...

1. find something white you can accessorize
2. add color and pattern
3. try a maxi dress or skirt
4. colorful tank tops go a really long way
